The Birmingham Orthopaedic Pre-Operative Assessment Clinic Interview

The Birmingham Orthopaedic Pre-Operative Assessment Clinic interview has been devised at The Royal Orthopaedic Hospital, Birmingham, UK to allow patients to record a detailed medical history prior to undergoing planned orthopaedic surgery such as joint replacements, spinal surgery and bone tumour operations.

This version of the interview presented on this website is for public use. The software is offered “as is” but it has previously undergone comprehensive testing at an NHS hospital.

The software should work well with the Firefox, Safari, and Chrome browsers. We have not tested it with the Opera browser and we have found some versions of Internet Explorer to be unreliable for using this interview.

The interview has been developed by: Jonathan Hughes, Louise Turley, Simon Disney, Dee Baker, Paul Pynsent and Andrew Thomas.

This project has been funded by the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital Charitable Trustees and by a Health Foundation ‘Shine’ award.

We are also working on an interview for patients with back pain for details Click here and knee pain Click here.
