Interview Instructions

The interview consists of a number of multiple choice questions which work in a logical way, for example there are certain questions that it will not ask to male patients and certain questions that it will not ask to female patients.

Prior to the interview you do need to know your height and weight either in centimetres and kilograms or in feet and inches and pounds. You can enter either your own name or a pseudonym.

You will be asked to pick what operation you are going to have undertaken. If you are simply testing the interview we suggest that you opt for a total hip or a total knee replacement.

If the operation you are going to have is not on our list or if you are not having an orthopaedic operation, you should opt for “operation not specified”.

The interview automatically deletes your data from our server when you have completed the interview. For this reason, do not stop during the interview for more than a short time. If you have a computer failure or a power failure you will lose the data. Also if you stop the interview part-way through we will delete the data that you have entered.

At the end of the interview please save the output to your local disk as a PDF or print the interview immediately before you exit the website.

If you are using the interview as a patient prior to surgery you must be aware that it is your responsibility to check the information when you have printed it. It is the responsibility of all health professionals involved in your care to satisfy themselves as to the accuracy of the information that you provide and they should note that the interview does not have the capacity to make any diagnosis.

I have understood the above information and I wish to proceed to the Pre-Operative Assessment Clinic interview
